Thanks again to skf1 @ DigitalSpy for this recap

What a great episode! It had everything you could want. Comedy and great emotional drama.
This is one of the more serious episodes that I have watched this season, so there may be some who may not enjoy it.

It is Valentines Day.
Gaby returns home from another eventful day shopping. Getting out of the car she looks up and sees Carlos and a lady in a bathrobe at the window. Dropping it all, she runs into the house. Heading into the bedroom she screams at Carlos. The lady turn around, and after a little hesitation Gaby says 'Hello Mother', obviously not pleased to see her!

Her mum, explains she has finished with her partner, and goes on to reveal to Gaby her new assets..;;;lol! A boob job!!
We find out from the doctor, that Gaby may not be able to conceive children in the future. During dinner the talk turns to adoption or possibly even surrogacy.
Carlos is against both until her mother volunteers to carry their child....much to a disgusted Gaby.

It is obvious there is a history here between Mommy dearest and Gabrielle which we are not aware of. Gaby even packs her bags and dumps her at a hotel.
We find out when Gaby was 15 she was raped by her stepfather. She doesn't believe her mother knows, and doesn't want to tell her incase she doesn't believe her.....Carlos goes and chats to her. She does know! (Well her own version) A very cold lady....whom I don't think we have seen the last of!
This leads us to a very emotional scene between Carlos and Gaby. I love the chemistry between these 2. After all Gaby has put Carlos through, his love for her is so clear.

Susan's wedding day is fast approaching. Julie knows what is going on and informs her parents that if they so much as glance at each other after the wedding, she'll report them to the insurance company for fraud! This was said in humour!
Karl asks Susan for her wedding ring to ahve it cleaned, and is told she threw it out of the car the night he cheated on her....
...It turns out it was a family heirloom which he wanted past onto Julie. So Susan goes out with a metal detector (after being forced!!!) , 3 years after the event and surprisingly finds the ring! lol
Karl has the ring in his briefcase along with a pre nup for Susan to sign before they marry....Guess who finds it? Edie!! Yes the glorious Nicolette is on fire in this episode.
She of course jumps to the wrong conclusion and assumes Karl is going to ask her to marry him.
We jump to dinner, where Karl insists she has dessert. Believing the ring to be inside it she decides she needs to 'powder her nose'
Across the room Susan is out with the good Doc. Edie grabs her and takes her to the bathroom.
'Susan, I may have some news which just may devastate you, and I wanted to be the first to tell you' Hilarious!!
Susan realizing Edie has got the wrong end of the stick, tries to let Karl know Edie thinks he is about to propose. The results are ...very Susan-esque! lol
The angst on Edie's face when she realizes there is no ring in her dessert is heartbreaking. You can even see how bad Susan feels for her.  Excellent acting here by both Teri and Nicolette.
Karl does realize after chatting with Susan back home what happened and says he will propose to her (Edie), to a very shocked Susan! hmmm...Could Susan be jealous....yes! Approaching the end of the episode, we do indeed see Susan and Karl re-marry.

Zack has put A and B together (finally!!) He overhears Paul and Mike talking, but I think he had already pieced together his true family history.
Mike informs Paul that Zach's grandfather knows of his existence and wants to see him. They both agree that is not happening. Mike wants them both to leave ASAP.
Quite a nice scene. I can't remember the last time they were together were no fists were flying!
Zach's grandfather has told his 'investigator' to ensure Paul ends up in a toy chest. Felicia is eavesdropping at the door and lets out a wry smile......

Oh Bree, this episode like I said is so emotional. Watching her downward spiral into alcoholism is truly great viewing. Marcia's acting is awesome along with Felicity, their scene at the end is must see!!. You can't help but to feel for her.

The episode opens with Bree, slowly getting drunk at a restaurant alone. Thankfully, this time she decides to get a cab home. On walking across her lawn on returning home she drops her key. Mrs McClusky (The lady who the twins kept stealing her stuff - Don't you love her!) finds her the next morning on the lawn. She tells Andrew, whom decides to turn on the sprinklers.....( git!)
Bree lies and says it was her anti-histamine medication again mixed with a couple glasses of wine that knocked her out.....while he (the git!) is taunting her with another bottle of wine!
Bree, then in rage throws her pills away, and Andrew did have a sensible comment. 'You'd rather drink alcohol that take your allergy pills?' Nice call.

Lynette and Tom have both been pulled into work. Tom has asked the ever fab Mrs McClusky from across the street to baby-sit the kids! LOL!!
Lynette isn't having any of this, and tells her she isn't required. Mrs M overhears her and Tom arguing about her. She looked really upset....
So in a panic to find another sitter, Lynette takes them to Bree's!! (Big mistake!)

Bree already suffering a major hangover does agree. While watching them, she turns to the wine........
......She passes out on the sofa with Penny next to her.
The twins do try to wake her but to no avail and put Penny in the stroller and leave the house.
A paniced Bree awakens and searches for them.

Lynette and Tom get a call. The kids have wandered three miles and are at a salon. Funny scene here.
They arrive back home and the kids are punished. They say in front of Bree to their mum that they tried to tell her they were going but she was sleeping. Lynette doesn't believe them and grounds them for another week!!!
Oh Bree....

Finally Lynette and Mrs McClusky do chat. She informs Lynette about Bree and the drinking and finding her on the lawn....She doesn't believe her 'poison'
But she does confront Bree.
Bree is bringing out the trash and the obvious clinking of bottles in the trash bag is apparent.

In a very intense scene which is probably better watched than described, Lynette questions her friend and neighbour about the drinking. Bree isn't listening or having any of it.
When Bree leaves and returns indoors, Lynette goes through the trash bags and pulls out bottle after bottle after bottle.

A powerful ending see's Bree step out onto her porch, with all the empty bottles lined up with a note from Lynette.
'You still don't think you have a problem?'

Thats' about it. Like I said, It's a great epsiode. More serious than usual. I do hope the girls have an intervention for Bree, but I think it is going to get worse before it gets better.
