The opening scene sees Susan and her friends recovering the
undamaged items from her house, such as pictures etc. A man from the
insurance company comes to talk to Susan, and says that they are
treating the fire as Arson so until they have finished their
investigation she can't get any money. Susan tries to figure out who
would set fire to her house when she sees Edie across the road just
glaring at her. The next scene sees Felisha Tillman grabbing an oppourtunity to go into Pauls home. She searches through the cupboards and steals a house key. Paul catches her so she grabs a bag of Flour quick and walks off, but Paul thinks she has put something in the food so he insists they get rid of everything in the cupboards. Susan confronts Edie about setting fire to her house and Edie admits doing it all, because she slept with Karl. Susan says she's going to the police but Edie helps her to realise that without any witnesses around Susan's word means nothing. While Gabrielle and Carlos are eating breakfast, Charmai (Sorry if it's spelt wrong) discoveres she feels sick by Gabrielles perfumes and other beauty products. Carlos questions if her boobs are tender and they realise she might be pregnant. They go to the hospital and discover the insminiation was successful and that she is pregnant. The doctor says because she's shown early symptoms that it will be a difficult pregnancy for her. Bree is cleaning Andrew's room out and has told everybody else that he ran away from home. Bree talks to Danielle saying she is all she has now and will do the best she can for her. Danielle says there is room for improvement.. turns out she forgot Daniells birthday that was 6 weeks before. Bree says she will make it up to her and throw her a birthday party. The next scene is Tom packing for Atlantic City, because apparently Jerry has invited him and all the guys are going over there. Lynette is very suspicious after what Ed found last time in Tom's expense accounts. Lynette asks why he's been to Atlantic City without telling her.. 3 times in the last month. Tom says it was a surprise and tells her he's been going for business for a top spot in Jerry's company. He gives her a card and tells her to call if she doesn't believe him. She hugs him, putting the card back on the bed, but she questions why he had two theatre tickets and flowers. He said he and Jerry went to a show and that the flowers were for Milt's wife. She asks why he bought flowers for her but when he tells her to stop being silly she rules it out, but the question isnt answered... Lynette tells tom she loves him, and he says he loves her... but when Lynette turns back round Tom picks the card back up and packs it in his bag, and we see a suspicious look on Tom's face. Gabrielle is concerned when Carlos has packed all of her beauty products up saying that Charmai can't stand the smell, and she finds her lying on the couch while he does the house work... she's not impressed, but finally agrees to not use beauty products if it makes her naucious. Meanwhile, Bree stays up all night without sleep for a second time, doing Danielle's party decorations. Danielle comes downstairs to find balloons in the shape of a giant 1 and 7 for her 17th. Danielle doesn't like it and Bree starts to pop all of the balloons with scissors, which scares Danielle a bit. Susan comes downstairs (Shes temporarily stopping at Brees) and becomes worried about Bree, but she insists she is fine. Matthew is still in the basement being punished for what he did to Caleb. His mother sits outside the door silent until he confesses about what he did. He admits to it and she smacks the door with a crow bar and yells at him saying it's best he stays in there because she's furious and doesn't know what she might do if she let him out. Susan asks Mike for advice about a wire, determined to record Edie admitting to setting Susans house on fire so she can recieve some insurance money. Mike offers Julie and Susan to stay at his house and we see a romantic moment between the two. They both talk about how they are single... and then it cuts off to another scene. The next scene shows Lynette at the airport with Mrs McKluskie. She is looking after the children while Lynette travels to Atlantic City to spy on Tom. She admits its a crazy idea but Mrs McKluskie is sympathetic to her and says shes probably worrying about nothing but needs to know the truth.. but Lynette doesn't know what to do if she finds him with someone else. It's time for Danielles party, and Julie is concerned when she finds Bree working very hard on the cake in the kitchen, working at a worrying speed. She keeps re-doing the icing because it isn't perfect. Julie says it looks fine but Bree insists it must be perfect because the cake shows her love for Danielle. She brings the cake out but realises one candle isn't lit and freaks out. Danielle tells her its fine but Bree won't have it. She goes to get the matches and a girl scoops a bit of icing and eats some. Bree comes back to find her cake defaced in the smallest possible way but reacts badly to it. She starts confronting everyone there and when she yells at the girl who did it she steps back and knocks the cake off the table. Bree shouts at her and Danielle runs off embarassed. Bree realises her actions and leaves the room. Gabrielle finds Charmai in her bed and isn't happy to learn Carlos has given it to her so they have to sleep in the spare bedroom in the smaller bed. She voices her concerns saying he's treating Charmai and caring more for her and seems to have compeltely forgotten about Gabi. Carlos says "she's the mother of my child, she's my top priority now". Gabrielle is angered saying she is only the oven and that it's her egg. Gabrielle sleeps on the sofa when she can't get comfortable in the bed. Upset, Danielle tries to contact Matthew by throwing stones at the window. With no response, she opens the basement door and climbs in and down the basement. She finds Matthew locked inside. He explains she found out about setting Caleb up and how she's flipped but Danielle says she knows how to get him out of there. Susan finds Bree cleaning up the mess from the cake late at night and worries about her. Bree tells her she hasnt slept because she left Andrew in the middle of no-where, he didn't run away. Susan offers to help clean and tries to console Bree in the best way she can. Back in Atlantic City, Lynette is spying on Tom who has just come out of a casino. He phones her but shes not far away and when a car alarm goes off he says he can hear it there and through the phone. Lynette throws him off and asks if Jerry, his workmate is there. He says he's there when Lynette can clearly see he isn't. Lynette hangs up and follows Tom when he gets in the car and drives off. Susan is all wired up and visits Edie to try and "put things right". Edie is saying that she did it but while her mouth is full of popcorn, so Susan asks her to repeat it. Edie does, and Susan leans in and asks her again making it rather obvious. Edie finds out, rips her blouse open and chases Susan. Susan falls and the pair squabble over the tape that's dropped when Edie discovers she's under a bee's nest and gets attacked by a swarm of bees. Lynette has followed Tom to somebodys house and sees a woman answers the door. As he goes in, Lynette creeps up the drive and looks through the window to find him drinking wine. A woman comes into view and she sees them both walk upstairs and she looks though, heartbroken. She sits in the car and puts her head on the wheel trying to comprehend what she just witnessed. Gabrielle wakes up on the sofa and hatches a plan to get her own bed back. Mixing all of her fragrances together that Charmai gets nauscious at, she sprays it all over the bedroom walls. Her plan works but Carlos isn't impressed by what she's done. He tells her he can't be in the same room as her because of how she's acting at the moment and he sleeps on the sofa. Charmai comes in and gives him a sandwich and we see a romantic moment between the two.. is Carlos interested in her? Tom comes home from Atlantic City and finds the house empty. No-one is about... Lynette, the kids, the puppy. He goes over to Mrs McKluskie and asks where she is. She explains she followed him to Atlantic City, discovered his other woman, packed up and took the kids and left. Susan visits Edie in hospital after the Bee attack and apologises. She says she will destroy the tape if Edie says she witness some other random person in the dark go up to the house with a can of gasoline. Edie refuses and says she's going to destroy susan, and tells her how she's helpless. Baring that comment in mind, Susan refuses mikes offer to move in and says she can handle this problem by herself. Betty brings down Matthews breakfast, with the gun on the tray but Matthew is silent inside. She calls out to him in there when Danielle runs from behind and smacks Betty with the crow bar. She falls down, and Danielle lets matthew out of the locked room. Betty isn't knocked out, her eyes are open, but Matthew grabs the gun and runs out with Danielle. Bree finds a note on Danielles bed saying "Mother, I'm leaving with Matthew and I'm never coming back. You drove me to do this, so I hope you blame yourself". Bree finding this packs her things and checks herself into a psychiatric place, saying she's about to have a nervous breakdown. The last scene shows the whole situation between Felicia and Paul. Earlier on, we saw Felicia pumping blood from her own veins and storing it. She was on the phone to police saying Paul was threatening her. The police said they were helpless unless he was there. She said she would confront him herself. Paul comes home that night to find blood on the floor. He slips. Getting up he turns the light on and follows the blood trail into the garage, leaving bloodstains as he walks through the door. The police then arrive (Felicia has called them) and Paul finds blood over his garage and his saw. Officers find something in the trunk and arrest Paul.. it's two of Felicia's fingers that have been sawn off. The reflection note at the end comes from Mary Alice saying ... It's a shocking moment for each of us -Paul handcuffed getting into the police car that moment we realize we are all alone in this world The family we take for granted could 1 day abandon us -Tom sitting alone on his couch The husband we trust so implicitly may betray us -Carlos and Xiao Mei playing chess while Gabby s sitting on the sofa the daughter we love so deeply perhaps won't return to us -Bree lying on a cot and then we could end up all by ourselves -Edie in hospital bed of course some seek great value in going it alone -we see Susan The very last scene shows Felicia in a mountain in a cabin, the guide explaining to her how tourists don't come this far up. She says "Dropping off the face of the earth? Sounds like a vacation to me....". She holds her room key but two of her fingers are missing. She's cut them off herself, framed Paul to look as though he's done it, and gone on holiday to an isolated area to make it as though she's disappeared.. no doubt the police will question Paul as to where she has gone... they probably think he's got her somewhere... |
