Thanks To Sheena @ Desperate Housewives Boards for this recap :)
The show starts with Bree and Phyllis, making it seem as if Phyllis has a faulty memory (flashbacks of her forgetting to tell Bree she just painted a chair before Bree sat on it, forgot to mention she forgot to wax the floors before Bree fell etc...)

Bree asks when she plans on leaving and Phyllis not sure. They get to Rex's grave to see that it had been dug up. Phyllis tells Bree she may have forgotten to mentioned to her that the insurance investigator had seen her and he had suspicions Rex was poisoned. (Mary Alice says Bree realizes Phyllis' mind was fine, her soul was faulty)

Bree shocked that she is a suspect when she talk with investigator. Knows it's because of Phyllis talking to him that they suspect Bree.

At home Bree packs her mother in law's bags, throws her out, puts her in a cab and tells the driver to "get her out of here"

Bree tells the kids over dinner that the police suspect Rex was poisoned and they dug up his grave. She tells them she's a suspect but swears she had nothing to do with it. Andrew says "I know you didn't do it. You're not capable of murder" Bree "thanks" Andrew " that wasn't a compliment...it takes guts to kill somebody"

Bree goes to the police with the kids and wants to take a lie detector test in front of them. They ask her questions which go over well until they ask "are you in love with Mr. Williams?" (George) she answers "no" but the test starts showing she is lying. Bree freaking...
She went to see George and told him that he had to take the test to prove that she was innocent (and also tells him they suspect something with the 2 of them) She tells George the machine picked up on something she wasn't aware of and tells him about the question.

She wants him to take the test to get this over with and says "once we put this behind us..." George finishes the sentence "we can move on"

Lynette

It's Parker's 1st day of school and he wants Lynette to take him to school. She says she can't but he makes her feel guilty so she said she'll ask her boss.
Nina freaks when Lynette dare tries to ask for time off and starts going on about how things are fait for those who chose not to have kids they can't go see a matinee, or get their hair done "like I'd like to do" etc...
Lynette about to walk out of office and turns to Nina and says "sorry about your hair, I can see why you're upset"

Lynette buys parker a camera that she can see him on the computer and they can communicate when he's at school. As she starts talking to Parker Nina tells Lynette she has to go to the meeting "now, now, now"
Lynette pretends she forgot something and goes back to her office until she is called back soon after.
Lynette trying to find more excuses to get out of the office and sees Nina's coffee cup is lop sided, she knocks on the desk twice and manages to get the cup to the tip of the table, she then takes her leg and lifts the table a little so the coffee spills onto Nina's lap

while the boss is getting cleaned, Lynnette goes back to her office to finish up with Parker.

Susan

Susan panicking because Carl was supposed to bring Julie back at 6 and it was 6:15. She goes with Mike to see at Edie's house and finds Julie singing along while Edie is playing the guitar.
Julie tells Susan she has a show at church and she will do it with Edie. Susan very upset about this.

Susan asks Betty Applewhite for piano lessons and gets a few lessons from her.

She goes back to Edie's while Julie and Edie are practicing and asks if she could join them because she took piano lessons. Edie said "I don't do trios"...LOL
Edie and Susan start arguing and force Julie to decide who she wants to be with

Julie tells them they both suck but "if I had to choose, I'd choose my mom"

It's their turn at the church and Susan gets up and interrupts it. Goes to see Edie and apologizes and tells Edie she should be up there with Julie instead. (I think Susan did it purposely seeing there was no guitar, only the piano and it was too late), because then Edie says she can play piano too, so Edie goes up with Julie and really messes up. It was kind of funny, Susan was getting a kick out of it but did feel bad for Julie.

The Applewhite's

As Betty and Matthew are getting the tray ready, the door swings open and we see the man from the basement. He is black and built and fighting to escape, Betty gets hold of the gun and knocks him over the head with it.

(It was at this time Susan rang the doorbell to ask for piano lessons. Betty said she doesn't give lessons. Susan notices the blood on her shirt and Betty says she baking cherry pie. Matthew tells her they need to be nice or people will suspect so Betty changed her mind and gave Susan lessons)

One day while Susan was outside with Betty, Carl showed up and they were arguing in front of Betty (who is slowly learning it's not all white picket fences on Wisteria Lane)

Gabby

We see Gabby day dreaming about her and John. She drives by a place where John is mowing the lawn and just sits in car and stares at him.

She then visits Carlos in jail and gives him an anniversary card, he doesn't even remember it's their anniversary. They again get into the cheating discussion etc... and she tells him that John really loved her etc...

She leaves and drove by where John was again (he was trimming bushes) and then he sees an older lady call him in, she goes up to the house and sees them together. In her fury she ruins all the woman's bushes, flowers etc... (this woman looks old!!!)

John goes to Gabby's and says someone saw her car outside the house so he knows it was her. She tells him the woman is old enough o be his mother and then says "hell, she's old enough to be my mother"
he tells her that the woman's name is Joan and she is 41. Gabby tells John he is supposed to be in love with her and he reminds her they broke up. She says "like 5 minutes ago, I thought you needed a grieving period", he tells her he thinks he may be in love with Joan  , Gabby a little upset and john says what I find the dumbest comment ever "are you upset because you want to get back together? because I could break up with Joan"
They decide it is the end.....

Gabby goes back to the prison and tells Carlos "I was selfish and stupid and I'm sorry" (she is crying) " I am really sorry"

Carlos tells her "that is the best anniversary gift that you've ever given me"

Mrs. Tillman

Mike brings a pot of flowers to Felicia. (she's wearing a neck brace) Mike asks if she knows where Zach is and she says she doesn't really keep in touch with her since he attacked her and doesn't understand why Mike is so concerned about him now. Mike tells her he didn't kill Paul and she tells him he should have.

The show ends with Mary Alice telling us this:

Everyone enjoys a game of make believe now and then (shows 3 girls playing...)
Of course, the way in which we play can vary greatly...

sometimes we tell ourselves that work won't interfere with our family (Lynette looking at a picture)

Sometimes we imagine certain relationships to be more meaningful than they really are (John mowing lawn, Gabby jogging, he waves, she ignores him)

Occasionally we put on a show as if to convince ourselves that out secrets really aren't that terrible (Betty and Matthew preparing tray, Matthew getting gun)

yes....the game of make believe is a simple one

(inspector "Did you know Rex Van De Kamp?" George "yes"

inspector "Did Mrs. Van De Kamp ask you top poison her husband?" George "no"

inspector "Did you poison Rex Van De Kamp?"....

Mary Alice....you start by lying to yourself

George "no")

[lie detector test staying stable as if he is telling the truth]

and if you could get others to believe those lies, you win

(George smiling at Bree)

THE END!!
